About the designer

With experience at every phase of creation, Meghan Brown brings a variety of skills to each project - beginning with conceptualization and development of style and function all the way through construction oversight. Meghan is well versed in working in fast-paced and high-delivery environments.

Meghan grew up in Chicago and received a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Cornell University. She is a licensed architect (Illinois). Meghan has worked as part of the in-house design group at Crate & Barrel, the production team for WBEZ Chicago Public Radio, as a public artist for Archi-treasures and as project manager and architectural and interior designer for numerous residential and commercial projects. Meghan earned a Master of Arts in the Humanities degree from The University of Chicago. She has been a professor of Art History at Roosevelt University and of Production Design at George Mason University. She has danced all her life and has performed professionally. Meghan is a former member of the Interior Architecture Knowledge Community for AIA Chicago and of the board for Chicago Dramatists.

Meghan has completed projects in residential, retail, restaurant, multi-unit residential, mixed-use spaces, and production/set design.

As a Production Designer and Art Director she has worked with clients including Chevy Cares, Live Nation, Apple, Lionsgate, Legendary, and independent filmmakers. Her experience encompasses independent short and feature length films as well as commercial work, web-based projects, and episodic television. Meghan is a member of IATSE ADG 800, United Scenic Artists Local 829, Production Designers Collective, and The American Institute of Architects (AIA).

Meghan Brown brings more than 15 years of experience in design creation, project management and construction administration to her clients and project collaborators. Drawing from her diverse creative and professional experiences she works to create a complete environment, from overall concept and design to a well-curated focus on details and finishes.
