Working with a great team, contributed to keeping the logistics running and communication open within the department and to other facets of the production and vendors.
In Bride Price we follow Uzoma from her youth in her childhood family home to her adulthood and future in her uncle’s grocery store. A simple shopping trip down the aisles transports her into an afro-futuristic 2025 in which she confronts her choices and society’s and her family’s expectations. Unique props such as: an honor chair, illuminated eyeglasses and interpretations of a microphone and DJ turntables for the year 2025 were created.
Working with Media Central for Live Nation and Hilton Honors an unadorned green room backstage at the Jiffy Lube Live amphitheater in Bristow, VA was transformed to a chic exclusive dining venue for two lucky fans and Gavin Rossdale, lead singer of the band Bush.
Do you have a friend like Bunbury? This is the imagining of a set for Oscar Wilde’s classic Victorian farce. Subtitled “A Trivial Comedy for Serious People” the three acts of this Wildely (sorry) entertaining script take the audience through clever and inventive turns of phrase all throughout the interiors and gardens of noteworthy English addresses. As Lady Bracknell says, “Three addresses always inspire confidence.” The sets for the comedy are meant to transport the audience to the Historical context of the day and into the whimsy and merriment of the play.
